Polka Dot Nials & Dotting Tools
Hello!
So after a bit of a disaster with catching my newly painted nails on my razor and 'shaving' some nail polish off I've fixed then and thought I'd show them off.

I got bored of my previous red glitter nails and decided to make them a bit more summery since I've actually seen the sun come out over the past week! I always like to add a bit of decoration to my nails so decided to polka dot them rather than just using one colour.
They don't look this messy in real life - honest! |
Barry M's Peach Melba is one of my favourite nail polishes at the moment, it's lovely and girly. Also, I find that it's nice and bright but not too 'in your face' - great for summer! I always apply a white base coat before applying the Barry M Peach Melba as I find it helps the colour stand out more. For this I used Boots Natural Collection's Nail Tip Whitener and used to apply to for my polka dots.
Do you like adding patterns to your nails or prefer plain varnish? Have you bought any dotting tools or do you prefer to make them?
A couple of months a go I decided to purchase myself some nail dotting tools to make doing my nails a little easier. I know that you can make your own with cocktail sticks, pins and old pens but for me it seemed just as easy to buy them as it saved me having to hunt around the house finding bits and bobs to make them. I searched on eBay (which have loads!) and found some at a very reasonable price (£1.50). They're double ended and altogether there are 5 different dotting sizes. They're lightweight and easy to hold. I also find that they're easy to clean with just a small piece of cotton wool and some nail varnish remover. For the price they were I really can't fault them.
